Hands-on AI help for small businesses in Belgium

Stubborn about the hype.
Not about you.

We help small businesses move forward with short, concrete AI projects: a dashboard, a small app or an automation that works. Realistic results, step by step, and everything is in your name.

Sound familiar?

This is what we hear at the table with business owners. Not at multinationals: at companies of five, ten, twenty people who work hard and deliver fast.

  1. “I have everything, but it’s all over the place.”

Excel here, emails there, a shared folder, a schedule behind a link. It all exists, but nobody sees the whole picture.

  2. “Our tool keeps hitting its limits.”

Notion, ClickUp or a home-made CRM: it half works and it doesn’t look good. You always want just a bit more than the product can do.

  3. “Nobody here is working on it.”

You can tell AI could free up time, but there’s no IT person in house and no time to figure it out yourself.

1 in 2large companies

The big players have an IT department and a budget. Small businesses mostly need a partner who drops by, takes a look with you and builds alongside you.Source: FPS Economy (Belgium), 2023 figures: 10.6% of small versus 47.9% of large Belgian companies.

02Dwarskop

We see your project through, together. Your business stays your business.

We don’t redraw your organisation. We bring one project to a good end, together with the people who work with it every day.

  • One project, no reorganisation

We pick something concrete and finish it. Who does what in your business remains your decision.

  • A step up, naturally

Because AI gets built into that project and explained, your business shifts up a gear. Not because it has to, but because everyone sees it works.

  • More efficient, and fun

The people we work with start wanting to use AI themselves. It happens every time, without us having to ask.

03Offer

Pick your card

Three ways to start. Short and clearly scoped: you know upfront what you get, with an honest estimate of what it takes.

The Scout

Exploration

half a day

We come over and look over your shoulder. Where does time leak away, where does your data live, what can AI already take over today?

Be sure to send us what you have beforehand: documents, websites, screenshots, mp3 or mp4 recordings. We turn that into a first analysis that you receive by email ahead of our conversation.

After the conversation we sharpen that first analysis into one page in plain language: where AI genuinely saves you time today, and what a realistic first step looks like.

The Master Builder

First build

short project

One tightly scoped project: a dashboard, a small app, a follow-up system for your clients or an automation.

Something that works, on your phone, with your own data. Not a report.

The Advisor

Riding along

regular cadence

A fixed half day per week or per month. Keep building, teach your people to work with Claude, fine-tune where things get stuck.

AI that gets used on the work floor, not just by you.

04Tools

The cards we hold

A fixed set of tools we know inside out and keep up with every week. You don’t have to follow them: what we build moves along with the latest versions. No closed package, no dependence on a single vendor.

    Claude

    The thinking

Reads, writes, summarises and builds along. We work with it every day, keep learning with every update and test each time where it can actually be put to use. Everything we do is hands-on.

    Lovable

    The screens

Apps and dashboards with login and security, much faster than classic custom development. Dwarskop is a Lovable Certified Partner.

  • 03

    Supabase

    Your data

A real database instead of ten spreadsheets. Access rights are defined in the database itself.

    GitHub

    The memory

Every change is kept, in your name. If you stop working with us, you take everything with you.

    Vercel

    Your own roof

On delivery your app moves to Vercel, in your own name: your domain, your keys, every change on a test address first before it goes live. The app runs independently of the build tool.

    Slack

    The table

One channel per project, with your people in it. Decisions, screenshots and questions in one place instead of in ten emails. Every delivery and every alert from your app lands there too.

    Data

    The foundation

Everything starts from one source; all the rest is derived from it. A solid foundation is the base of everything. We know it from years of database work in the financial sector.

  • 09

    Whisper

    The ear

Recordings of conversations and meetings become text, locally on our own devices: your recording never leaves the house. That is where the first analysis comes from, before we even sit down together.

05Approach

Five rounds, from first call to result

  1. Round 1

    The call

Twenty minutes, free. You tell us where it hurts, we tell you honestly whether we can help.

  2. Round 2

    The scope

One project, a clear scope and an honest estimate of time and cost. On paper before we start.

  3. Round 3

    The build

You regularly see a working version and adjust it in plain words.

  4. Round 4

    The handover

Everything is in your name. You’re free to choose what comes next: with us or with someone else.

  5. Round 5

    Onwards together

After delivery we stay within reach. We fine-tune where things rub and keep building when you’re ready.

Christophe Berton, AI consultant for small businesses at Dwarskop

Christophe Berton

LinkedIn

Behind Dwarskop is its founder, Christophe Berton. He started as a database consultant at FinArch, in the financial sector, where a mistake in the structure costs money. After that he worked on the operational side at Fourcast, among the people who have to use the tools every day.

Today we build as a Lovable Certified Partner with Claude, Supabase and GitHub. We’re not a software house: with planning and experience, we build things that last and that you can use without a manual.

Working with AI can be a pleasure, for us and for you. A small project that works makes people want to go further, and helps a business grow faster than a big plan.

We work across Belgium, in Dutch, French or English.

07FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Dwarskop helps small businesses with short, clearly scoped AI projects: a dashboard, a small app, a follow-up system for clients or an automation. We build them hands-on with Claude, Lovable, Supabase and GitHub, led by founder Christophe Berton.

In Flemish, a “dwarskop” is a stubborn head: someone who does not simply go along with the crowd. That is how we work: we tell you honestly when AI is not the right answer, we do not sell a big plan where a small project will do, and what we build is in your name. Stubborn about the hype, not about you.

For freelancers and companies of roughly five to twenty people without an in-house IT person, who sense that AI could free up time but don’t know where to start. We work across Belgium, in Dutch, French or English.

There are deliberately no prices on this site, because every project is different. After a first conversation you get a clear scope and an honest estimate of time and cost, on paper before we start.

You do. Everything is in your name: the code in GitHub, the data in Supabase, the app on Vercel. If you stop working with us, you take everything with you.

No. We work in plain language and explain every choice simply. What we deliver, you use without a manual.

Everything you have: documents, websites, screenshots, mp3 or mp4 recordings. We turn that into a first analysis that you receive by email ahead of the conversation.

Twenty minutes, and you’ll know if it’s for you.

Call us, or send an email with what’s holding you back. We’re happy to think along, free and without a sales pitch.
